Brahmi powder is made from the dried leaves of a small plant known as the ‘miracle herb’, ‘water hyssop’ or Bacopa monnieri. It is rich in anti-oxidants and biochemical compounds and is a traditional remedy to make hair stronger, preventing split ends and hair loss and combatting dandruff and itchy scalps. This powder is usually used in combination with tulsi, neem and/or amla powder to make hair packs. Brahmi contains alkaloids which increase the protein activity associated with hair growth.

  • Strengthens hair follicles thus improving hair growth.
  • By coating and strengthening the hair it reduces split ends and increases volume and length.
  • Tightens and firms the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles.
  • Useful in treating skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema.

As this is a natural product, the colour may vary. This product has not been irradiated.

Instructions

HOW TO USE BRAHMI

Hair growth pack: mix 2 tablespoons of brahmi with 2 tablespoons of tulsi. Add half a teaspoon of amla.  Mix into a smooth paste with coconut water and or coconut oil.  Allow the mixture to soak for an hour and apply it to your hair and scalp. Allow the paste to dry on your hair and rinse off, shampoo and condition.  You can also use brahmi on its own for this pack.

Skin nurturing face pack: Mix 2 tablespoons of brahmi with some pure water and an ingredient of your choice. You can try:

Raw honey – to moisturize and treat pimples
Yoghurt – rich in lactic acid and probiotics
Rose water – toning
Avocado – moisturizing
Rooibos tea – rich in antioxidants and anti-ageing compounds
Coconut oil – moisturizing

For all herbal treatments, whether for the skin or the hair, regular use is necessary. In some cases you will need to use the herb/s for at least 2 months for best results.
